Using Location

When you first select the Locations option, a Select A Location window will appear and allow you to add a new location, print a list of locations, or select a location in order to make changes to it or delete it.

If the location is slotted, you will also have the option to create and modify the individual slot location in the location.

Flag settings, along with the sales options and inventory options control how the location can be used in the sales orders, purchase orders, and planned transfers. These flag settings control whether your sales reps commit sales to available lots or incoming purchase orders. The lot numbers for the location can be assigned automatically based on the transaction number in inventory options. Having the lot numbers automatically assigned speeds up the entry of the lot number when new inventory is added to the system. This works well if you store most of your inventory in your own warehouse locations, but not if you use outside storage locations that assign their own lot numbers which are completely out of your control.
